General Manager of City Chic Arrives in London Scouring the Streets for Britain’s Next Plus Size Model

Phil Ryan, General Manager of City Chic (Australia’s premier plus size fashion brand in sizes 14-24) will be arriving in London to take part as one of the judges in the Search for Britain’s next plus size model competition.

Phil Ryan Says, “This is such an exciting opportunity, with the average women’s clothing size now being a 14-16 I am just grateful that City Chic can be part of the celebration of curvy women”.

In August of last year City Chic hosted Australia’s first ever search for a plus size model competition in which internationally renowned model agent, Gary Dakin of Ford Models NY was the guest judge.  This year City Chic has teamed up with the UK’s first ever plus size e-zine “Just As Beautiful Magazine” to scour the streets of London looking for Britain’s’ next plus size model.

The judging panel will include some of the UK’s industry leaders such as Anna Scholz, who is one of London’s leading plus size clothing designers, supplying uniquely designed lines all over the world. Cheryl Hughes, of Hughes Models, who is strongly affiliated with Darrianne Donnelly of BGM Models Australia; has the largest selection of UK and European plus size models as well as having the largest export of Australian plus size models.

Chloe Marshall, the first ever plus size Miss England contestant will also be in the hot seat of the judging panel. Knowing first hand what it is like being plus size and trying to break into the modelling industry, and how important it is to be confident with in yourself.
